I created the DOOMED WORLD series of acrylic paintings in December 2023, when I was 94 years old. The series was meant to express my view about the state of the world. After creating numerous series of mandala paintings, which conveyed my hope for a state of tranquility and harmony, the DOOMED WORLD series was designed to express my feeling that our world, subject, as it is, to natural disasters such as storms and fires, is doomed.

I created the DOOMED WORLD STILL series of acrylic paintings in December 2023, when I was 94 years old. Like my series DOOMED WORLD and DOOMED WORLD CONTINUED, the current series was meant to express my view about the state of the world. After creating numerous series of mandala paintings, which conveyed my hope for a state of tranquility and harmony, the DOOMED WORLD STILL series was designed to express my feeling that our world, led by tyrants and other incompetent leaders, is doomed.
