Monuments

After completing my series STILL MORE FIGURES IN A SQUARE, I decided to use an abstract stencil which was more complex than parallel lines as a background for a new series. I adhered varying lengths and widths of masking tape to that stencil to suggest figures or structures. Although I had fun trying different primary and secondary colors in this series, I ended up preferring the simplicity and directness of the black-and-white.
